My Mission
My priority as a trainer and coach is to educate the basics, develop strength within the basics, and let that training carry you with ease through the levels. I leave no stone unturned with my students in their understanding and my focus on their technique is second to none.
The soundness and overall care of the horse and the pursuit of excellence in all areas of horsemanship is equally as important as the riding. I ensure all my horses are cared for as top athletes and my students are as well trained in hand as in the saddle and in general horsemanship.
My education and passion in both dressage and music allows me to have a unique approach and ability as a rider, as I truly understand the relationship between technique and beauty, and the dedication it takes to develop them. I encourage my students to pursue the highest standards of technique and horsemanship, and with these things comes true beauty.
A brief history
Since 2021, I have called The Palms Equestrian Center my home working along side Sabine Schut-kery and Christine Traurig. My coach and mentor for many years Christine, US Olympic Bronze Medalist and current USEF Young Horse Coach, is still an integral part of my program and I lesson with her weekly to further my own education as a rider and trainer. I encourage my students to watch and participate as appropriate as well.
I worked hard to be able to be a working student, assistant trainer and now trainer in these top West Coast barns accumulatively for nearly 15 years. My standards and practices come directly from my own passion for excellence and my extensive time spent working in these Olympic training facilities. I am passionate about my amateur students as well as aspiring professional students, teaching them to be quietly effective and elegant riders with true understanding of proper horsemanship in all aspects.
In addition to my training in Dressage, I am also a classically trained pianist, composer, and the head of RaveHorse Productions, an internationally acclaimed Dressage Freestyle Production company.
“The goal of all dressage riding should be to bring the horse and rider together in harmony...a oneness of balance, purpose, and athletic expression.”
